With a 72% market share, the latest release from Marvel Studios secured the top spot and boasted the largest three-day opening weekend of 2023. Meanwhile, Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” earned £1.3 million in its fifth weekend, reaching a total of £49 million and holding onto second place, while Studiocanal’s “Evil Dead Rise” came in third for the third consecutive weekend, earning £493,732 and accumulating a total of £4.4 million.
Earning a total of £2 million, eOne’s “The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry” secured fourth place in its second weekend with a collection of £336,519. In its seventh weekend, Lionsgate’s “John Wick: Chapter 4” garnered £195,298, bringing its total to £17 million and rounding off the top five.
